Dr. Tamika Murphy is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a proud native of Spartanburg, South Carolina. With over 25 years of experience in nursing and healthcare leadership, she brings extensive knowledge, compassion, and dedication to every patient she serves.

Dr. Murphy earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialty in Public Health from South University in Savannah, Georgia, graduating with honors. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practice from the same institution, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina Upstate.

Nationally certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Dr. Murphy is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Her clinical approach is rooted in compassion, prevention, and empowerment—helping individuals and families lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Throughout her career, Dr. Murphy has remained deeply committed to community wellness, health education, and accessible care. As both a clinician and a leader, she strives to build lasting relationships with her patients and to be a trusted partner in their health journey.   

 Before founding New Beginnings Family Healthcare, Dr. Murphy served in a variety of respected healthcare organizations throughout the region, building a strong foundation of clinical expertise and community  focused care.
